Silently the Past by Frank Eckmair

This is a two color woodcut of a rural scene. There are a couple of buildings in the background and a ruined tractor in the mid-ground. This is a later piece where Eckmair uses rough found lumber to print part of the image. The grain and knots in the wood add interest to the piece, as does Eckmair's signature use of large areas of negative space. Solid green is used to depict the sky.
