The Canyon by Ruben C Brasz

This is a subtle, atmospheric oil on board of a Western Canyon. The palette uses pastels exclusively giving the piece a gauzy, impressionist look. Sinuous trees frame a water filled canyon with indistinct mountains in the distance. The painting itself is in great shape. The frame is probably original and shows some loss of gesso in the corners. It's a strange choice for the piece, so would be fine to replace.
