No Trespassing by Giacomo

This is a beautiful oil on paper. It is done in a realist style and depicts a rural scene of a white barn, a decrepit fence and a faded spark plug sign. The top rail of the collapsed fence is painted with NO TRESPASSING although there doesn't appear to be much worth trespassing for. The artist effectively uses negative space in the foreground to give the image an unreal quality. On first glance, the scene appears desolate, but in front of the barn a figure is white is standing surrounded by ducks or geese. She is feeding the flock. Another figure is then seen leaning against the fence to the right of the barn. A red building centers the scene with the only other bright color being the faded red of the sign. It's a very nicely rendered scene. The piece is signed GIACOMO center left. No other information is available. The piece has some condition issues. It was taped to a mat, so there is some tape residue across the top and right side. It appears a mat covered part of the image as there is toning of the paper. It is unframed. Size is 19 3/8 x 13 inches. The pictures show the issues. I have not been able to identify the artist. The price reflects the condition.
